What Is an MT5 Trade Copier?
An MT5 trade copier transfers trading instructions from a master MetaTrader 5 account to one or more slave accounts. It can automate multi-account execution, but copied results may differ because each account and broker can receive different prices and fills.
Master and slave architecture
The master side detects trade actions and sends the relevant information to approved slave terminals. The slave side interprets those instructions and places or manages corresponding trades according to its configuration.
Copiers may run on one computer, across a local network or through a VPS/cloud setup depending on the implementation.
Why copied trades can differ
Different brokers can have different symbol names, contract sizes, spreads, prices, stop levels and execution speeds. Latency and connectivity can also change the fill price.
A professional setup checks symbol compatibility, lot-sizing rules and account differences instead of assuming every slave will reproduce the master exactly.
What to test
Test connection stability, opening and closing, partial closes where supported, stop/target synchronization, symbol mapping and restart/resync behaviour on demo accounts.
Copy trading transfers instructions; it does not remove market risk.
