MT5 EA Installation Guide
Installing an MT5 Expert Advisor is straightforward when the file, permissions and chart setup are correct. Use the product-specific NEXA customer guide as the final reference because some EAs require a particular symbol, timeframe, preset or licence step.
1. Open the MT5 data folder
In desktop MetaTrader 5, open File → Open Data Folder. Open MQL5 and then Experts. Copy the supplied EA file into the appropriate folder specified by the customer package.
Return to MT5 and refresh the Navigator or restart the terminal so the new EA appears.
2. Enable the required permissions
Enable Algo Trading in MetaTrader 5. If the product uses an online licence endpoint, add only the official URL stated in the customer guide under Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest.
Never add unrelated URLs or share brokerage passwords, wallet keys, seed phrases or authentication codes for installation support.
3. Attach the EA and load the correct preset
Open the intended symbol and timeframe, attach the EA, enter any required licence key and load the preset intended for that product and account context.
Review every input before enabling automated trading. Do not assume a preset designed for one account size, broker or symbol specification is appropriate for another.
4. Test on demo first
Confirm that the EA initializes without errors and behaves as documented. Check symbol naming, spreads, lot sizing, execution permissions and the Experts/Journal logs.
Only consider live use after you understand the configuration and limitations.
